Got a chance to hear the R-3350s and smell the smells of vintage radials 
this sunday.
Been a long, long time since I was close to them..

Back in the 80s my son and I got to tour Fifi at Peachtree-Dekalb 
Airport.  The inside is less beautiful, but more impressive.  We 
didn't get to see her fly.
Back then CAF was "Confederate Air Force".  I guess the PC police 
overwhelmed them.  She was with the Dixie Wing.  Wonder what they call 
it now?

'Fifi' spent some time at Paine Field WA last summer for its
mid-season mechanical checks; first time I've seen her in the Pacific
Northwest since the 1980s.
Managed to get sprung from heart rehab center long enough to see
her...
